Would you like to have a ready-made home rolled out of the factory at the push of a button? You're probably not there yet. To be prepared and ready for this digital future, it is crucial to start with the right foundation, just like in construction. Without the right foundation, the construction process remains slow, it is difficult to respond to changes early and countless other risks lurk.
We have been helping companies like yours to optimize and digitalize their business processes for more than 20 years. Where future-proof custom software solutions are the solutions to remain agile for the world of tomorrow and the years to come.

Do what you do best: building

Nowadays, a construction company is no longer just concerned with building. The construction process is continuously subject to changing and growing regulations surrounding health and safety standards. On top of that are the growing number of sustainability targets and quality controls that must be met. This results in your time increasingly being spent on administrative activities instead of what you are good at: carrying out construction projects.

Evolution in construction

The construction industry is constantly evolving. In recent years, partly thanks to the COVID pandemic, this movement has made great strides towards digitalization. Where more focus has been placed on predicting projects. Major issues have arisen regarding a complete overview of integrations in the entire value chain of which your construction site is part. The digitalization steps that have been taken have led to companies starting to use dozens of software programs. Because digitalization is the future. What is forgotten here is that digitalization is not necessarily the solution. Software must be implemented correctly so that it adds value to the processes throughout the value chain. And because this total chain fit is often not (properly) analyzed, this results in many systems being used by different companies in the chain, but unfortunately these processes are still supported by Excel lists, back and forth telephone calls and emails. As a result, the processes are still not efficiently organized and remain very error- and time-sensitive.

You need a solution that adapts to your needs and grows over time with the changes that take place in your company but also in the entire value chain and industry in which you operate.

Ongoing research project in construction

What do the actual CO2 emissions on the construction site look like? How do you gain insight into this during the construction process? How can planning be organized as efficiently as possible to spread CO2 emissions throughout the entire construction process?

Together with TKI Dinalog, University of Twente and ECOLOGIC, we will work together in the coming years to find answers to these questions through various studies. The first step has now been taken: research into a digital planning system that is agile when disruptions occur.

There is no way around it anymore, without digitalization it is difficult to make a difference in the industry. Digitalization is reflected in all aspects of business. Whether it concerns serving customers, managing operations, financial and HR processes, etc. That is why it is important to strategically position your IT landscape so that it serves your business of tomorrow, but is also ready for changes that will be on your doorstep in a few years.

Over the past five years, the number of software applications within companies has doubled and employees and customers are also increasingly accustomed to using systems. This has also changed expectations towards your company, because you facilitate this, but you can also quickly adapt to their request.

That's why you need to have the right IT foundation in place to meet the constantly changing needs of the business, employees and your customers.

Sometimes it is not about 'working harder' but the art of 'working faster'. Employees are difficult to find, project margins are shrinking due to the increasing costs of raw materials and personnel. This makes it necessary to pay attention to the efficient use of all resources. Effectiveness must increase and you will also gain more overview and insight with a sound software strategy and the right custom software solutions at the right crucial points of your business and chain processes.

The art within the construction sector is continuously knowing how to differentiate. This is essential to continue to win projects and tenders. The trick here is knowing how you can add extra value in certain areas that are important to your customers. According to recently conducted research, there are approximately 15 areas within the construction sector that can be considered (2022, V. Leontie). 5 of these areas are related to technology and digitalization. If you set this up correctly, you can distinguish yourself by using custom software intelligently.
